Biography

Voted French Rider of The Year in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and recently named one of Snowboarder magazine’s Riders of the Year, he has wowed the snowboarding community with his attention-grabbing roles in movies like Dopamine and Heavy Mental. In Origins he unleashed some memorably epic lines and one-foot tricks in Alaska.

The younger brother of big mountain legend Xavier, Victor has adopted his brother’s daring approach but added his own freestyle colour. He’s happiest when in front of a lens, travelling the world and producing features in beautiful locations few people have seen before.

Growing up in the French Pyrenees with three older brothers and a sister who were all snowboarding fans, it was inevitable that Victor would follow the same journey into the mountains. He can remember asking Santa Claus for a monoski for Christmas when he was six (luckily the man with the beard knew he really meant a snowboard) and he loved it so much he kept it by his bed. Seeing his brothers come home from competitions with big smiles on their faces inspired him to work hard to perfect his skills.

He originally started competing in boardercross and freestyle and went on to become French junior champion in boardercross, slopestyle and halfpipe. At the age of 18 he was proud to place fourth in a World Cup for France. But he decided to follow his heart and focus on filming where he felt more able to express his passion for originality and adventure.

In the future Victor wants to continue to make movies that are different and exciting, injecting his own personality and ideas and visiting amazing new places to create spectacular footage. His goal is to push his skills to the maximum so fans who watch his movies never forget what they’ve seen.
