FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can children attend?

This is an over 18s only event.

What should I bring?

Please bring your equipment for all activities (i.e. ropes, quickdraws, running shoes, ...) and all the essential gear to enjoy the weekend.

What is included in the ticket price?

  • Nearly all activities are included in the ticket price as we will be running some special one-off adventure extras that may require a subsidy.
  • Food will be included. Specifically, Dinner on Friday, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday, and Breakfast on Sunday. You will need to pay for any additional food or drinks. Drinking water will be available across the site.
  • All entertainment and facilities, such as toilets, showers, are included.

What food and drinks will be available?

We are working with some fantastic chefs to create a very special basecamp kitchen and bar, serving the very best craft beers, wines, coffee and tea.
Snacks and drinks will be available all day at an additional cost. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served during communal dining sessions.

When should I arrive?

You can arrive on Friday from 10:00am. If you have not already registered for activities, this could be the opportunity to secure your place.

What facilities are available on site?

Everything you need for an adventurous and comfortable weekend will be available on site.

Can I bring my pets?

Unfortunately this is a human only adventure. Guide dogs are welcome.

Will there be cash machines?

No. Please bring plenty of cash with you, or other things with which to trade.

Can I bring a camping stove or disposable BBQ?

You may bring a gas camping stove as long as the gas bottle is no larger than 240g. Disposable BBQs are allowed but must be kept off the ground.

Music Line-up?

The music line-up will be kept top secret. We have a very eclectic taste and are incredibly passionate about music that rouses the soul and makes people either cry with joy, or want to dance.

How can I travel to the site?

  • Airports: Closest airports are Zürich, Basel and Geneva.
  • Train: Lauterbrunnen has a railway station and is easily accessible.

Can I bring alcohol with me?

You can bring a small amount if you wish, but we will stock all the very best, locally brewed drinks at the basecamp bar.

What is the camp timetable like?

To be confirmed.

Can I stay offsite?

We encourage everyone to stay on site for the full experience. However, if this is not possible, then arrangements can be made for you to stay in a local hotel, or at home if you live nearby.

Do you cater for people with special access requirements?

If you require any support in accessing the event, please get in touch with us at mountainfestival@statravel.com to discuss your requirements. We will do everything we can to support you in your adventure.

Is there a plan in place if the weather is bad?

Yes, we have booked a local indoor climbing centre, trails and hikes are still possible unless in quite bad weather and if it gets really bad we have our large geodesic dome tents that can accommodate hundreds of people so we can watch the storm pass together in comfort.

Is climbing equipment available?

Yes, we will have equipment available for any beginner climbers.
