Jacket colour and warmth are great. I ordered medium using north face sizing and body was right but arms far to short for normal 11 year old. I sent it back ordered large and its arrived, its big ( but will grow into and with wrist closures will do) except the snow skirt in large is not really a recognisable snow skirt and has no buttons whereas the medium had a recognisable elasticated snow skirt with buttons to keep it snug to the body.
There is a "hem cinch" system but it's still not as effective as the internal snow skirt
Quality of jacket appears to be excellent though.
